This policy explains how Skinshare SG (“we”, “us”), operated by BEECO (Co. Reg. No. 53348013B), collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit skinshare.sg, buy from us or get in touch with us. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

The personal data we collect

  • When you order: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, and the products you bought.
  • If you create an account: your login details and order history.
  • When you contact us: the messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, live chat or our website forms.
  • Health information you choose to share: if you tell us about your skin or health, for example when you ask for product advice or book a nutrition consultation, we use it only to help you. We never share it for advertising.
  • How you use our website: pages and products you view, items you add to your cart, your device and browser type, your approximate location (from your IP address) and how you arrived at our site. We collect this using cookies and similar technologies, explained below.

You enter your card details on our payment providers’ secure pages. We never see or store your full card number.

How we use your personal data

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, including payments, returns and refunds
  • To answer your questions and give you the advice you ask for
  • To send you order confirmations, delivery updates and other service messages
  • To send you newsletters, offers and skincare articles, if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how visitors use our website, so that we can improve it
  • To measure how well our advertising works, and to show our ads to people who have visited our website
  • To prevent fraud and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We use three kinds:

  • Essential: these keep your cart, checkout and account working. The website cannot function without them.
  • Analytics: these show us, in aggregate, which pages and products people view and how they move through the site. Some of these tools also record how visitors interact with a page, such as clicks and scrolling, so that we can find and fix problems.
  • Advertising: these let the advertising platforms we work with know that you visited our website or made a purchase. That lets us measure our ads and show you relevant ads on other websites and apps.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn off personalised ads in the ad settings of the platforms you use. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout will not work.

Advertising and measurement

When you place an order, we may share your email address, phone number, name and address with the advertising platforms we work with, in hashed form. Hashing turns your details into a code that cannot be turned back into the original. The platform uses the code only to check whether you are one of its own users who saw or clicked one of our ads, so that we can tell which ads lead to sales.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share your personal data with

We share personal data only where we need to in order to run our business:

  • Payment providers, to process your payment
  • Delivery and courier partners, to get your order to you
  • Website hosting, security and email service providers
  • Analytics and advertising platforms, as described above
  • Government or regulatory authorities, where the law requires it

These providers may use your personal data only to provide their services to us.

Transfers outside Singapore

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Singapore. When your personal data is transferred overseas, we take steps to make sure it continues to receive a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

How long we keep your personal data

  • Order and payment records: at least five years, as Singapore tax law requires
  • Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe
  • Everything else: only as long as we need it for the purposes above

How we protect your personal data

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and only the people who need your personal data to do their work can access it. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect it from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you access to the personal data we hold about you, and tell you how we have used or shared it in the past year
  • Correct personal data that is wrong or incomplete
  • Stop using your personal data for a purpose you previously agreed to, such as marketing. We will tell you if this affects what we can do for you, for example if we can no longer fulfil an order.
  • Delete your account and personal data, except records we must keep by law

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to how we use your personal data and to complain to your local data protection authority.
