A new study has linked annual holidays to decreased risks of heart attack and depression and even the promotion of brain health, says the LA Times.
In a study conducted by the Global Commission on Aging and Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, they found that:
- Women who take vacations only once every six years or less are at significantly higher risk of heart attack than women who vacation twice a year.
- Men who don’t take use their leave to travel have have about 30% greater risk of death from heart disease.
- The moment you go on holiday, your stress drops significantly even after a day or two.
